Today marks a surreal milestone in my journey, since I started with nothing but a tiny office, a heart full of dreams, and barely enough to afford an office phone and a copier. As I look at our billboards shining across Boston, I’m overwhelmed thinking about where we started.
Two decades ago, I took a leap of faith into the unknown, left a steady job and started my own firm. I was all on my own, my office was no bigger than a closet, and the challenges of starting off were immense. There were days when I doubted if I made the right decision and when the phone seemed too quiet. But every morning, I woke up with a dream, and determined to stay the course.
This journey has taught me the power of perseverance, the beauty of believing in your vision, and the magic of hard work. I learned that every small step counts, and that every setback is a setup for a comeback. I’ve met incredible people along the way, people who believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself.
To my team, my family, and my friends, your support has been my stronghold. To my clients and community in Boston, your trust and loyalty have been the wind beneath my wings. Without you, this journey would not have been possible.
As I reflect on where it all started, from a one-room office to the firm name in lights in Boston, I realize it’s been an incredible ride.
